Reichstag Fire

The word going around now is that General Petreus is going to give the upcoming White House Speech on the State of Iraq on 9/11.

As we lead up to that, it looks like US efforts to get Iran actively engaged in the war are working. Over a year ago, Donald Rumsfield made statements to the effect that US forces were making military raids into Iran.

In the following article, we learn that this is in fact true. US forces have been working with the Kurds to attack villages on the Iranian border. This is reminiscent of the US forays into Cambodia during the Vietnam war.

Kurds flee homes as Iran shells villages in Iraq

Iraqi Kurdish officials expressed deepening concern yesterday at an upsurge in fierce clashes between Kurdish guerrillas and Iranian forces in the remote border area of north-east Iraq, where Tehran has recently deployed thousands of Revolutionary Guards.

Jabar Yawar, a deputy minister in the Kurdistan regional government, said four days of intermittent shelling by Iranian forces had hit mountain villages high up on the Iraqi side of the border, wounding two women, destroying livestock and property, and displacing about 1,000 people from their homes. Mr Yawer said there had also been intense fighting on the Iraqi border between Iranian forces and guerrillas of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), an armed Iranian Kurdish group that is stepping up its campaign for Kurdish rights against the theocratic regime in Tehran.

On Saturday the Iranian news agency Mehr said an Iranian army helicopter which crashed killing six Republican Guard members had been engaged in a military operation against PJAK. Iranian officials said the helicopter had crashed into the side of a mountain during bad weather in northern Iraq. PJAK sources said the helicopter had been destroyed after it attempted to land in a clearing mined by guerrillas. The PJAK sources claimed its guerrillas had also killed at least five other Iranian soldiers, and a local pro-regime chief, Hussein Bapir.

General Betrayus' only qualifications is his willingness to uselessly sacrifice his men while simultaneously licking the fascist boot. I fully expect another war &/or "terrorist" attack soon.

P.S. I noticed you post over at C&L. I just found it, I like that blog. So far I have been censored three times. Twice for conspiracy "theories", and once for being a hot head. Other than that it has been good.

Hi Wease, I just finished watching the video. I've been on a Bush bashing spree over at pp myself. I really don't fear the goon squad. I am to the age where I don't really care whether I live or die anymore. Whether I continue to resist the fascism which consumes this nation largely depends on what I see from my fellow citizens. From what I've seen so far I don't care what happens to them. I'll be damned if I will fight for their sorry asses, only to have their stupid asses condemn me for it. Let them rot in a Halliburton prison camp, I don't care, they are worthless. Sorry to be that way. At most I may move into a more rural area and watch on television. These people aren't worth the effort as it stands now. I only speak the truth because it is in my nature, not because I give a crap. Maybe they will pull their heads out, but it is doubtful. I care more about the innocents being killed in Iraq than the SUV driving POS soccer moms fascist biatches that live in this country. [/rant]

Did you see the fascists at work in Ottawa? They planted thugs in with the Bush protesters. One of the news stations was so slanted they called the protesters "fringe lunatics". They gassed them and shot them with rubber bullets. The station made it sound totally justified. Damn, the bullcrap is getting deep out there. Of course most people at home probably ate it up. People are worthless.

Bush's VFW speech today was written by Looney Toons.

But it got a lot of applause.

He described the history of an alternate universe and explained that blowing the shit out of everything, makes everything better.

Vietnam for instance, is better because we were there. If we hadn't had a war there, then Vietnam would been a hell hole now.

Wars make the flowers grow. They make all good things come into being.

This is why we must stay in Iraq and slaughter people.

If we leave, the Iraqis will follow us home. Conquer the US through force of arms. Then force our women to wear bhurkas and take away their right to vote.

As he described it, the USA is ready to fall. Only our defense in Iraq keeps the USA from collapsing under the terrorist offensive.
