Nothing To See Here, Move Along

Chemical tests later Thursday turned up no explosives in the bottles, said Capt. Jack Chambers, head of the State Police Special Operations unit. The airport was reopened after nearly 10 hours.

Ok, so it was nothing. But it was scary wasn't it? And doesn't it show that our government is doing stuff?

Boooga! Boooga!

Did anyone wet themselves?

There's a an old story about the 'Boy Who Cried Wolf'. In it, the shepherd boy kept crying 'Wolf!' over and over for attention. The villagers kept running to his aid, only to find there was no wolf. The boy just just enjoyed watching the villagers run to his aid. It gave him a feeling of power.

One day, real wolves came and the boy cried 'Wolf!' The Villagers were sick and tired of his games and didn't believe him. The wolves ate all of his sheep and he's begging on the left turn lane of I35 today.

That's an interesting link Mort.

The chickenhawks are losing ground in crying wolf as often as they have. Freaking out over shampoo and hair gel isn't helping their case.

They need a big event to save face.

I hope they don't get one or invent one. Enough people have died already.

Anon, you told me you're a violent man, capable of murder.

Your free speech is not infringed upon, if I delete your comments from my blog.

You have the right to create your own blog and engage in vitriolic hate speech. I support you in this. But on my blog, my free speech rights trump yours.

Both parties do work for the same people and have the same interests. The differences between them are like the colors and logos of a football team.

They are meant to distract and make us feel a tribal pull toward one side or the other.

Though they wear different uniforms, they play the same game.

That game is essentially to sell off everything of value left in the US.

That is why they and the talking heads hate guys like Atrios at Eschaton.Putting someones opionions in context and remembering their stands on issues 5 years ago really shows who we should be listening to today. I think Howard Dean could shout out a (I told you so) or two. I blame Clinton because he had the house and senate and he really didn't have a clue about what he wanted to do when he became president. In those first two years he might have put through national health insurance but he triangulated(took orders from big business), came out with a HMO bvail out type plan and all was lost. On nafta all I know is a lot of the guys we find coming up from mexico dehydrated and half dead at my beat up ranch are indians from Chiapas and the Yucatan who can't compete with American Corperate farming(sort of plantations) This "work with the otherside" stuff the Democratic leadership Counsil pushes is a scam. In Russia in 1916 lenin called guys like that "useful idiots"
