Email Sent to Representatives in the Hearing

I want to thank for the hearings that you are holding on Halliburton's unethical activities.

Halliburton as we know, will soon be outside the scope of US law. They are moving to the UAE where they will be able to work with regimes that support terrorism, with no fear of reprisals from the US.

Now, this will likely preclude them from doing direct work for the US. Could they still set up a parent shell corporation, that then subcontracts work to them from the US?

so even though they aren't legally able to contract to do sensitive work for our military, couldn;t they still do so as a subcontractor for a US corporation?

All the corporations are dirty. Halliburton might wane some day but it is like the snakes on Medusa's head. You have to chop a mite lower with the sword to kill the problem. Boycott everything.

Foreign owned and based corporations can and do perform work directly for the US federal government. In fact, BAE Systems, a British company, is one of the 20 largest US defense contractors, and routinely performs 'Secret' level work for the US Dept. of Defense.
I should know, I work directly with their employees here at the D.O.D. ^_^

Fallout11, ypu. I'm aware of that.

It doesn't seem right though, does it? At least it doesn't seem patriotic.

Having Halliburton moving to a nation with financial ties to terrorism against the US, really stretches the bounds here.

But it has never really been about security for the US, so much it has been about financial security for political favorities, has it?
