Everything Is Still Peachy Keen In Iraq

For years McCain has been telling us that things in Iraq are wonderful. It's a great place to be. It's all just super.

Now he says we're no longer looking into the "Abyss of Defeat".

I must've nodded off somewhere. I never noticed when he went from singing the praises of our imminent victory in the war against Iraq, to admitting that the US is losing in Iraq.

From his relentless cheerleading, I figured we were about to turn a corner in Iraq, to the nation becoming a safe place to take the grandkids on vacation.

So in a blink of an eye, he went from manic blue skies and eternal unfettered optimism, to the depths of despair and then back to manic joy and happiness again.

Did he miss his lithium for a few days?

Here he is talking about what a Rose Garden Iraq is, and how there's never been a better time to buy a timeshare there.

Great success huh? Wait till you hear the crap they feed us tomorrow. That fighting with Sadr only stopped after Iran intervened. 5 more Americans killed and more added to the fight as Maliki went home and we are leading the way it is so successful.
Bush is still trying to find a reason to attack Iran so I'm sure we'll hear a lot about Iran too! This is another nightmare that is still just developing and will get a lot worse!

I read over at another forum that rockets and mortars are still raining into the green zone almost daily. Classic harassment strategy. Winning the hearts and minds, we don't torture, anymore at least, I think.

We no longer publish evidence that we torture. While our officials continue to say that torturing POWs is necessary.

As long as the Green Zone is getting shelled, the Iraqis have the high ground.

It's gone on long enough, that it could be called a siege.

Only a draft and huge sacrifices can turn this thing around. Are the Republicans ready to sacrifice America to win?

Petraeus testifies today. It's being spun as a Presidential election year issue. The press says the Democrats want the war to end. But it doesn't say that the Democratic Leadership, loves the war, loves Bush, and loves Petraeus.

The message has been carefully crafted for the sheeples. Baah. Baah. Baah.

We have no solidly anti-war candidates. How can the election matter?

It doesn't matter, that's why I vote for candidates who have no chance of winning, because it is a farce.
