War Against Iraq To Last 50 Years

H/T Crooks And Liars

Well, know the White House is finally saying out loud, what I've been saying for year. It doesn't feel good at all to be right about these things.

Bush envisions U.S. presence in Iraq like S.Korea

By Steve Holland Wed May 30, 2:55 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -
President George W. Bush would like to see a lengthy U.S. troop presence in
Iraq like the one in
South Korea to provide stability but not in a frontline combat role, the White House said on Wednesday.

The United States has had thousands of U.S. troops in South Korea to guard against a North Korean invasion for 50 years.

Hey Wease,
WTF is going on at CFN? I am absolutely opposed to censorship of real people regardless of what they say,as long as they do not DO. Now the shit at CFN is bizarre.
I see you joined the patrol, they seem like good peeps,eh? If you checked recently it appears the GS has started up again. This is good news although it does not explain why it stopped. If you look at the time lapse stuff just strange.

a little depressing reading. Call it Karma call it Yin and Yang call it whatever you want, ever see the original Blob? The guy pokes at the Blob with a stick then he lifts the goo up and as it travels down the stick to his hand, thats what our American history reminds me of. Unfortunately We are the hand

Yeah, OEO on CFN has really gone off the deep end. I created a typepad account and logged in with it.

I think its supposed to block other peeps from impersonating me on the site.

I'm amazed that my arguments there, got me that much attention. Though it was annoying, its also very flattering. People only spam you bad when they really care.

We realyl haven't been watching the Gulf Stream until recently. Even so, I think there is a correlation between its recent stall and the freak cold snap and blizzards in Europe.

Well, the typepad thing didn't work.

OEO is still spamming under my name on CFN.

Is that "offendattery"?
Honestly, if he/she could just hold a decent conversation, I would be interested in the origin of the he/shes beliefs.
Here is an interesting site on calving ice shelfs, if you enjoy reading this.

Hey Wease.

Whatever it's worth. Don't let that peculiar little piece of bad karma via CFN get you off message.

Bay/Paris.

There's no point in posting at CFN.

OEO impacts Jim's reputation, and Jim doesn't care.

The trolls win.

Hi Wease, no offense but sometimes I thought OEO might be your alter-ego. He does seem to have a fixation with you more than anyone else. I don't know why I brought it up, but it would be ironic and my mind is a suspicious beast. Now I must go see what the hub bub is bub. I noticed OEO was nic stealing last week too.

P.S.: You were right all along, we're never leaving Iraq. Never.

This is a fine blog, Wease. I have linked it to mine, and hope it gets more exposure, even though my blog isn't the ticket to that.

We will leave Iraq and every other country we are occupying if we continue to expand our commitments overseas while our economic situation deteriorates here at home. Our government's ability to occupy and control even our own country is pretty questionable, going forward, given the shaky oil situation and our own problems here.

This development was predictable and many people out here have always had the sinking feeling it would come to this, which was one of the many reasons to oppose the invasion to begin with.

You have to wonder just when the point will come when the rest of the world senses our real weakness and the tide turns against us totally, if it hasn't started to do so already.

Mort, no offense taken. Yesterday I realized that continuing to participate on JHK's blog was just going to ruin my reputation. There's no way that anyone without a paid typepad.com account can tell the difference.

OEO has driven other members from the forum. It was just my turn.

Now he'll do that to someone else.

North Coast, Welcome!

We've been in Iraq since Bush I was president. That war never ended. Even with Clinton in office, we kept bombing Iraq. When Madeliene Albriecht (sp?) was asked about the study that found that a million children had died due to the the sanctions, she agreed it was true and said, "It was worth it."

Sun Tzu clearly tells us that if we invade without overwhelming force and no clear goals, that we'll be stuck in a war of attrition. He tells us that the invading nation will bankrupt itself in an endless effort to maintain control.

The American people were misled and couldn't see the truth in it, because they refused to believe that George Bush would use the US Military as a mercenary army to profit his friends.

We find it easy to believe that people will kill for money. We can believe that many politicians are crooks. Yet, it seems sacrilegious to think that a President could be a crook that kills people for money, even though we have examples from the past to go by.

Hello Weaseldog,
Very nice blog you have here, have been reading the older posts as well. I found your blog via CFN, but just cannot be bothered to read the craptacular comments over there (and neither can JHK, apparently).
Godwin's Law well illustrated by OEO and his ilk.

Welcome to the Lair Fallout11! :)

At least OEO is posting links to my blog when tries to ruin my reputation.

That's something I suppose.

JHK and I tried to find a solution in which I would moderate his comments section, but Typepad wants too much money for that capability.
