My Nephew and IEDs
I've gotten news from sister, that my nephew wa wounded in Baghdad in an IED explosion. His hummer ran over a roadside bomb. He was the only one injured and suffered a broken leg. They were lucky.
He was treated at Walter Reed, then shipped to a base stateside.
He'll be going back to Baghdad soon.
From what I understand, he hasn't been allowed to come visit family while he recovers.
I hope he stays out of trouble until his tour is over.

I am sorry to hear about your nephews injury. I wish him God Speed on his career and journey home soon.
It is now the 29th, I just read about your nephew's injury over on C&L...We have to get these guys home and out of there for everyone's sake....I am so sorry that your family is enduring this....

Getting info from that side of my family is a slow and painful process.
I keep asking for his social security # so I can look up his status and send him emails. They keep promising to get back to me with it. Still I wait.
